Schools across the district are recognizing Pink Shirt Day on February 23, 2022.ÌıStudents and staff are working together to engage one another and share examples of diversity, dignity and respect.ÌıA few examples happening in schools include:ÌıÌı
- Wearing pink as a sign of supportÌı
- Recognizing and rewarding kind actions
- Having school and class discussions
- Organizing a “Cares Challengeâ€
- Singing the song “O Siem†to recognize we are better together and kinder togetherÌı
- Holding fundraiser activities to support programs that foster children’s healthy self-esteem
- Creating a school-wide art exhibit by inviting each student to write a message to share with the school community of how they spread care, love, and kindness
